Mesotherapy

INTRODUCTION TO

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a non-surgical cosmetic method that involves injecting medicine into the mesoderm (the layer of fat and connective tissue under the skin), in most cases through micro-needling. In order to maximize results, these microinjections contain pharmaceutical and homeopathic drugs, plant extracts, vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, and other substances customized for each patient. The medications are used to break down the fat under the skin, which the kidneys and bowels then eliminate.

Mesotherapy, which can quickly dissolve lipid fat and is sometimes called “lipodissolve,” is a kind of “all-around” miracle cure. Although Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive alternative for fat removal, targeted weight loss, and anti-aging, it can also treat a wide range of other issues.

Along with targeting fatty tissue and cellulite, Mesotherapy also works to tighten and shape the skin, enhance lymphatic drainage and blood flow, nourish hair follicles, increase skin suppleness, lessen wrinkles, and lessen the appearance of stretch marks and acne scars. Additionally, treated skin will have a strikingly luminous finish and look tighter, more toned, and more moisturized.

The treatment’s effects are long-lasting, typically from 12 to 18 months. Of course, your future lifestyle choices will have an impact on the results, with the optimal outcomes being sustained by regular exercise and a healthy diet. Afterward, your skin will regain its natural appearance, but the treatment can be repeated.

Procedure

Mesotherapy is a straightforward process, that takes between 30-90 minutes, and requires no sedation. Some numbing medicine will just be applied to the area to be treated, as some light stinging will be felt.

The injections can be given at different depths — from 1 to 4 millimeters into your skin — depending on what condition you’re having treated. A series of injections will be made, dropping each time a tiny amount of the solution chosen into the area. Several mesotherapy sessions may be required depending on the skin condition, its severity, and its effects. The doctor will be able to inform you how many sessions per week you will need to achieve the desired outcomes.

Recovery

Most patients can resume their regular activities the next or even the same day and may experience some swelling and minor pain that both very quickly subside.

Although side effects are always mild, they may differ from patient to patient. It is no more distressing for the body to receive the solution used in mesotherapy than it would be to receive a big, concentrated dose of nutrients because the body finds the solution very easy to absorb.

Risks

Although it is very rare, it is always possible for some negative complications to arise:

  • persistent swelling
  • pain
  • bruising
  • infection
  • scarring
  • nausea
  • redness
  • rashes
  • change in skin sensation
